Fields of Mistria has officially launched its 1.0 version, concluding its early access period. The game, which blends traditional farming simulation elements with magic and an '80s anime-inspired art style, is now available on Steam.
In addition to growing crops and raising livestock, Fields of Mistria allows players to cast spells to aid in their farming endeavors, such as accelerating plant growth or summoning rain. The 1.0 update introduces several significant features, including a marriage system with 12 potential candidates, the ability to have children with a spouse, and a romance option to kiss dating partners.
The game's narrative also progresses with the completion of the questline to repair the titular town of Mistria. Players can now customize the exterior of their houses once fully upgraded, and a complete museum offers a goal for completionists.
Developers have indicated that the 1.0 release is not the end of the game's development, stating that "1.0 is only the beginning." The launch is accompanied by a new trailer that features retro anime-style cutscenes, aiming to evoke a warm aesthetic.
