Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is set to feature "Gem hours," special in-game events that increase the odds of encountering Gem sprite variants. These events will begin on Saturday, August 8.
Gem sprites provide players with a 30% reduction in fall damage. Additionally, they alter the appearance of player sprites to a crystallized form, making them a sought-after cosmetic enhancement for back blings.
Due to the naturally low probability of finding Gem variants, the designated Gem hours offer the best opportunity for players aiming to acquire them.
The first Gem power hour is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT. For players on the west coast of North America, this translates to 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PDT. In Brazil, the event will run from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. BRT, and for those in the U.K., it will be from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. BST. Western Europe can expect the Gem hour from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. CEST. In Japan, the event will occur on Sunday, August 9, from 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. JST, while the east coast of Australia will experience it from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. AEST on the same day.
A second Gem power hour will take place later on Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. EDT. This session will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PDT for the west coast of North America. Brazil will have its second window from 10:00 p.m. BRT on Saturday to 12:00 a.m. BRT on Sunday. The U.K. will see this event from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. BST on Sunday, and western Europe from 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. CEST. For Japan, the second Gem hour is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. JST, and for the east coast of Australia, it will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. AEST on Sunday.
