Fortnite's Chapter 7 Season 4 continues its content rollout with update v42.20, officially bringing Kingdom Hearts and Cyberpunk Edgerunners collaborations to the Battle Royale. The update, which follows a brief delay, is now live after a period of downtime.
Kingdom Hearts Arrives in Fortnite
The long-awaited Kingdom Hearts collaboration is now available. Players can acquire Sora, Roxas, Kairi, and Riku outfits from the Item Shop, with individual prices ranging from 1,600 to 1,800 V-Bucks. A bundle containing all 20 Kingdom Hearts-themed items is offered for 4,500 V-Bucks.
The Kingdom Key, a melee weapon from Kingdom Hearts, has been added to the game, offering powerful combos and destructive bolts. Additionally, Sea Salt Ice Cream can now be found, providing health and shield regeneration for players and their teammates. Both items are part of the standard Battle Royale loot pool, with increased accessibility during "Kingdom Hearts Power Hours." These in-game events are scheduled for Saturday, September 19, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET and again from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET, during which players will start matches with the Kingdom Key and Sea Salt Ice Cream.
Edgerunners and More Content
While the Cyberpunk Edgerunners collaboration is not yet fully available in the Item Shop, players can obtain Rebecca's Guns by defeating the Adam Smash boss. These weapons are capable of dealing significant damage, with an Exotic variant featuring a special ricochet effect.
Beyond these major collaborations, datamines suggest future additions from franchises such as Persona 5, Pac-Man, and Ironmouse.
The update also introduces new loot hacks and items, including the Hyperburst Pistol, Mammoth Pistol, Reaper Sniper Rifle, Deadeye DMR, Flowberry Fizz, and the Rocket Ram. Players can acquire more Sprite Dust by extracting sprites, which are also being added to the island.
Three new sprites—the Pond Sprite, Crash Bandicoot Sprite, and Blinky Sprite—are now discoverable. Collecting and mastering 30 sprites will reward players with the free Pixel Polli skin.
