The second wave of games arriving on Xbox Game Pass in September has been revealed, featuring a substantial upgrade to the service's library. Headlining this lineup are the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, the survival MMO Dune Awakening, and the sequel Minecraft Dungeons 2.
Gears of War: E-Day serves as a prequel to the original game, detailing the initial Locust invasion and Marcus Fenix's early experiences. This exclusive title is a key addition for Xbox platforms, aiming to recapture the series' impactful narrative.
Dune Awakening brings its survival MMO experience to consoles, introducing a single-player mode alongside its PC multiplayer-focused offering. With a new Dune film slated for release in December, the timing is opportune for this expansion.
Minecraft Dungeons 2, a surprise sequel announced earlier this year, aims to build upon the Diablo-like gameplay of its predecessor. The developers are looking to refine the formula and deliver on the full potential hinted at by the original.
Beyond these major titles, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will also gain access to Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, and Keeper. RuneScape: Dragonwilds will also be available on Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Several titles are scheduled to depart Xbox Game Pass on September 30th, including the martial arts roguelike Sifu, Rebellion's Atomfall, and the co-op horror game Little Nightmares 2. Other games leaving the service include Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Little Rocket Lab, SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato, and Sworn.
