Genshin Impact is preparing to launch its "Luna 8" update, also known as version 6.7, which continues the Nod-Krai story arc and will see the Traveler embarking on an interstellar journey to the moon aboard a spaceship. The update is scheduled to begin maintenance on Tuesday, June 30, or Wednesday, July 1, depending on the player's time zone. This maintenance period is expected to last approximately five hours, during which the game will be unavailable.

Maintenance start times are staggered globally. For North America's west coast, maintenance begins at 3 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, June 30. East coast players in North America will see maintenance commence at 6 p.m. EDT on the same day. Brazil's downtime starts at 7 p.m. BRT, while the U.K. will enter maintenance at 11 p.m. BST. Western Europe can expect maintenance to begin at 12 a.m. CEST on Wednesday, July 1, followed by Japan at 7 a.m. JST and Australia's east coast at 8 a.m. AEST.

Players are advised to use any remaining Resin before maintenance begins. The new battle pass will activate once the patch goes live, prompting some players to consider saving stamina for new weekly tasks and objectives.

The "Luna 8" version is anticipated to go live around the following times, shortly after maintenance concludes:

  • 8 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, June 30 (West Coast North America)
  • 11 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 30 (East Coast North America)
  • 12 a.m. BRT on Wednesday, July 1 (Brazil)
  • 4 a.m. BST on Wednesday, July 1 (United Kingdom)
  • 5 a.m. CEST on Wednesday, July 1 (Western Europe)
  • 12 p.m. JST on Wednesday, July 1 (Japan)
  • 1 p.m. AEST on Wednesday, July 1 (East Coast Australia)

While these are the approximate times, HoYoverse typically adheres closely to its maintenance schedules, though servers may occasionally come online earlier or experience slight delays.

This upcoming patch introduces significant new content, including the Traveler's journey to the moon, which appears to have been repurposed as a weapon. Sandrone, a new five-star Cryo character and one of the Fatui Harbingers, will become playable, offering a new opportunity for players to collect members of this formidable group. Additionally, Citali will receive a rerun banner, alongside another gacha banner featuring characters like Yumemizuki Mizuki, Wriothesley, Cyno, Yae Miko, and Qiqi.
