Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for a staggered release across different regions, according to details that have appeared on the PlayStation Store. If these listings are accurate, players in certain territories could gain access to Rockstar's upcoming title hours before others, with New Zealand appearing to be among the first to play.

Reports indicate that the game will unlock at 12 a.m. local time in each region. This localized rollout means that players worldwide will experience the launch at varying times. Gamers in New Zealand are expected to be the earliest to jump into Grand Theft Auto 6, while those in Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Costa Rica could be among the last, with a potential 19-hour difference between the first and last regions.

This staggered approach may present opportunities for players eager to play early. Xbox users can typically change their console's region settings to New Zealand to access games at midnight NZDT. However, accessing the game early on PlayStation might be more complex due to the platform's region-locked accounts. To circumvent this, PlayStation players would likely need to create a new PlayStation account set to New Zealand and play the game using that account, as Grand Theft Auto 6 itself is also region-locked on the platform.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Polygon has reached out to Rockstar Games for official confirmation regarding the release timing.
