Grand Theft Auto VI's upcoming release is anticipated by many, and with it comes a host of new weaponry for protagonists Jason and Lucia. Trawling through the game's trailers and released screenshots has revealed a variety of firearms, with an emphasis on distinct weapon names and customizable options.
Pistols and Revolvers
Several handguns have been identified. The Morgan revolver, potentially based on the Smith & Wesson 629, appears in multiple forms, including modified versions for the Ultimate Edition that reference Vice City and Vice City Stories release dates. Lucia's favored pistol, the Klose K17, seems to be inspired by the Glock 17, while Jason carries the Girardi ES9, a model resembling the Beretta 92FS. Both the K17 and ES9 are noted to have custom paint jobs available in the Ultimate Edition. The Mustang .357, a high-power revolver akin to the Colt Python, has also been spotted. For smaller handguns, the Nipper .38 is visible, even featuring on cover art, suggesting it might be a common sidearm. The Capo pistol, resembling a Colt M1911, was seen in early reveals and carried by Raul Bautista.
Rifles and Carbines
Assault rifles and carbines are also present. The Duke carbine, an M4-inspired weapon, bears the Duke Arms Company insignia, a manufacturer previously seen in Red Dead Redemption. This company also produces a Duke sniper rifle, which may share components with the carbine and has been seen with rail attachments. Other rifles identified include a Remington 700-inspired bolt-action sniper rifle and an M1A-inspired semi-automatic sniper rifle, both potentially used by hunters or poachers in the game. A MAC-10-inspired SMG, featuring a distinctive boxy design, has been shown with a pre-order paint job. Additionally, various AK-47 models and SMGs, including an MP5-inspired weapon and Uzi variants, are visible on weapon racks in Phil's Ammu-Nation, with some featuring accessories like red dot sights. The Benelli M4-inspired shotgun, also known as the M1014, and Remington 870-inspired pump-action shotguns have been spotted among the store's stock.
Heavy Weapons and Shotguns
A classic double-barreled shotgun is confirmed, with players potentially able to modify it into a sawed-off version. For heavier ordnance, a grenade launcher is set to return, likely retaining its utility for dealing with vehicles and other threats. Finally, an M249-inspired light machine gun with a large box magazine was showcased by a vendor in the second trailer.
