Helldivers 2 is set to receive its long-awaited Warhammer 40,000 crossover warbond, "Castellan's Creed," on August 12th. This new content drop will provide players with a collection of weapons, armor, and cosmetics inspired by the elite Cadian Kasrkin troops of the Astra Militarum.

The warbond features two new armor sets: a heavy Demo-Trooper set and a medium Sharpshooter set. Both armor types offer passive buffs to weapon handling and support weapon reload speed. Weapon additions include the hot-shot marksman rifle, designed for effectiveness at both close and long ranges, and the bolt pistol, a compact sidearm.

New stratagems and throwable options will also be available. The meltagun, a powerful anti-armor weapon, and meltamines, a bucket of explosive throwables, are among the new tools for players to deploy against enemies. The warbond also includes thematic capes, banners, and vehicle paintjobs.

Players can acquire the "Castellan's Creed" warbond using Super Credits, which can be purchased with real money or earned through gameplay. However, the option to use a premium warbond token to obtain it will not be available.

The lore justification for this collaboration places the warbond's introduction in "honour of the valiant Helldivers who gave their lives in a heroic last stand to defend the peaceful world of Chara during the First Galactic War."

This release follows Arrowhead's recent announcement of plans to address players using exploits to gain Super Credits unfairly, aiming to improve the game's integrity.
