Saber Interactive has announced an October 8 release date for its upcoming single-player horror game, Hellraiser: Revival. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer that offers a glimpse into the game's violent and unsettling atmosphere.

The trailer features a blend of gruesome imagery set to a rhythmic, bass-heavy soundtrack. Scenes depict chain-induced flaying, slicing, and other forms of bodily harm, alongside more abstract visuals like a beating heart and an individual being struck. The game's aesthetic appears to lean into the franchise's established themes of pain and pleasure.

Hellraiser: Revival will present an original story centered on a character named Aidan, who utilizes the puzzle box known as the Genesis Configuration in an attempt to rescue his girlfriend, Sunny, from a labyrinthine dimension. While the narrative is not a direct adaptation of Clive Barker's original novel or the film series, the iconic Cenobites are expected to make an appearance.

The game is described as having a vibe reminiscent of Outlast. Players can add Hellraiser: Revival to their wishlists on Steam ahead of its October release.
