Big Walk, the latest online co-op puzzle game from House House, has achieved significant commercial success, selling over one million copies in just six days. Publisher Panic Games announced the milestone on August 10, highlighting the rapid pace of sales compared to the studio's previous acclaimed title, Untitled Goose Game. That game took approximately three months to reach the same sales figure.
"In just six days, over one million of you have bought Big Walk, our co-op adventure all about talking and walking," Panic stated in a social media post. The publisher expressed gratitude for the player base, acknowledging the fan art, streams, stories, and shared moments. "We are so grateful that so many of you are spending time with our game. And we deeply appreciate your fanart, your streams, your stories, and your moments. Thank you for playing."
Beyond its sales performance, Big Walk has also garnered critical acclaim. The game, which allows two to twelve players to collaborate on exploring an island and solving puzzles, has been recognized as the highest-rated and best-reviewed game of 2026 on Metacritic. This places it above major releases such as Forza Horizon 6 and Resident Evil Requiem, as well as other celebrated indie titles like Mina The Hollower. The positive reception underscores the appeal of its concept, described as "cute little blorbs chilling and solving puzzles together."
Reb Valentine of Kotaku noted the game's timely arrival, suggesting in their review that "There is no better time to call up your friends, get everyone to give up one night a week for about a month or so, and use that time to go on a Big Walk together." Big Walk is currently available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
