Kingdom Hearts Content Arrives in Fortnite

Fortnite has integrated a significant amount of content from the Kingdom Hearts series, introducing new weapons, cosmetic items, and special events for players. The update brings the iconic Kingdom Key weapon, which players can use to attack opponents and call down lightning strikes. To aid in combat, a Sea Salt Ice Cream item is available to restore health and shields.

In-game mechanics have also been updated with Kingdom Hearts Overrides. The Recovery Override grants healing orbs upon eliminating an enemy wielding a weapon, while the Level Up Override spawns a Mythic Kingdom Key for each squad member. Players can also participate in the Kingdom Hearts Power Hour, scheduled for specific times on Saturday, September 19.

The crossover also includes new outfits inspired by Kingdom Hearts characters Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas. These skins, along with their associated Back Blings and Pickaxes, became available in the Fortnite Shop on September 17. Each character also features a Lego Fortnite style. This collaboration offers fans new content ahead of the upcoming 2027 release of Kingdom Hearts 4. Recent reports of a large data breach for Kingdom Hearts 4 have also surfaced, with leaked information suggesting potential worlds and IPs that may appear in the sequel.
