Krispy Kreme is celebrating a milestone in Pokémon's history with a new collection of themed doughnuts. Available starting August 18 in U.S. and Canadian locations, the collaboration will feature six unique doughnut designs.
Five of the doughnuts draw inspiration from popular Pokémon, specifically including all three original starter Pokémon from the Kanto region—Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle—alongside two other fan favorites. The sixth creation is an edible interpretation of the iconic Poké Ball.
These specialty doughnuts can be purchased individually or as part of a "Specialty Dozen Pack." For those seeking a slightly different option, a six-pack excluding the Bulbasaur and Squirtle designs, and instead featuring plain glazed doughnuts, will be available at major retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, and Publix.
Customers opting for the full Specialty Dozen will receive a limited-edition Pokémon-themed box. Krispy Kreme will also offer its "Original Glazed Gold Dots," a doughnut hole variation, served in five different Pokémon-themed cups.
Beyond the doughnuts, Krispy Kreme is hosting a promotional event on August 22. Patrons who wear Pokémon merchandise to participating locations will receive a complimentary original glazed doughnut. This promotion is part of ongoing celebrations for Pokémon's 30th anniversary, which has seen numerous merchandise collaborations and releases throughout 2026.
Preorders for the full 12-pack have already opened online, indicating a potential demand that Krispy Kreme is preparing for. The company has stated the Pokémon-themed collection will be available for a "limited time" without specifying an end date, a move that may reflect anticipation of high customer interest.
Fans can find participating locations on the Krispy Kreme website. The doughnut collection joins a series of recent Pokémon-related events and merchandise, including collaborations with Puma, new guide books, and LEGO sets. The Pokémon trading card game is also slated for a special 30th-anniversary product release later this year.
