A new cinematic trailer for Marvel's Wolverine has debuted, showcasing one of the mutant's most formidable foes, Lady Deathstrike. This latest preview from Insomniac Games shifts focus from gameplay to a narrative-driven sequence highlighting an action-packed confrontation.
The trailer features Wolverine engaging with various adversaries across diverse environments, including urban streets, a moving train, and a snowy wilderness. During these sequences, other significant characters like Sabretooth, Wolverine's long-standing rival, are also glimpsed. Towards the trailer's conclusion, Wolverine appears to be in Japan, where he faces a group of ninjas led by Lady Deathstrike. Described as an assassin and mercenary, Lady Deathstrike possesses the same indestructible adamantium-bonded skeleton as Wolverine, granting her formidable strength and sharp, metal claws.
While the trailer teases a potential future encounter, it does not depict a direct battle between Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike. In addition to these two characters, Marvel's Wolverine is confirmed to feature Omega Red and Mystique as antagonists. On the side of heroes, Jean Grey is also slated to appear. Furthermore, Sentinels have been identified as a significant threat within the game's narrative.
Marvel's Wolverine is scheduled to launch on September 15 for the PlayStation 5. The game's first gameplay trailer and a preview for Game Informer subscribers are also available.
