Massif Press and Dark Horse Books are set to launch two new hardcover editions for the Lancer tabletop roleplaying game in March 2027. The upcoming releases, "Operation Fulcrum Dawn: Introductory Narrative Modules for Lancer" and "Lancer: Setting Guide Volume 1," are designed to complement the core rulebook released in 2024. Preorders for both books are available starting today.
"Operation Fulcrum Dawn" will offer introductory content for new players, featuring two distinct modules. "Operation Solstice Rain" takes players from License Level 0 to Level 2 across two missions set in the city of Nov Elysia, involving urban combat and a rescue operation amidst a conflict between the Leandric States Alliance and the Vestan Sovereignty. "Operation Winter Scar" progresses characters to License Level 4 with two additional missions, pitting them against the Vestan Sovereignty Armed Forces with advanced mechs and tanks. This hardcover edition will also include printed battle maps and tactical advice. It is priced at $29.99 and is scheduled for release on March 16, 2027.
The "Lancer: Setting Guide Volume 1" collects two major setting expansions into a single volume. One section explores the Karrakin Trade Baronies, the oldest human civilization within Union space, detailing its deep traditions, political intrigue, social divisions, and the growing Republican movement. The other section delves into the Long Rim, a lawless sector of Union space populated by various factions including corrupt Enterprises, pirate groups, HORUS cells, and the Horizon Collective. This setting guide will also retail for $29.99, with a release date of March 30, 2027.
Both "Operation Fulcrum Dawn: Introductory Narrative Modules for Lancer" and "Lancer: Setting Guide Volume 1" can be preordered through Dark Horse Direct, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other online bookstores.
