Riot Games has launched a new player feedback system called "The Council" for League Classic, enabling the community to vote on various aspects of the game and influence its future direction. This initiative allows players to express their opinions on the current state of League Classic and suggest changes, ranging from general sentiment to the addition or removal of specific gameplay mechanics.
The community poll is accessible to players who have reached at least level 5 in League Classic, with higher levels and specific actions granting increased voting power. Players can boost their voting power by progressing through the Classic Progression Track to levels 15 and 25, and by purchasing a voting power boost available on page three of Classic Pass: Act 1.
To cast a vote, players need to open the League of Legends client and navigate to the "Classic" tab. From there, they can select "The Council" box located in the bottom right corner, which will present a pop-up with the poll questions. The current poll will remain open until 1 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 2.
The inaugural poll features several questions designed to gauge player sentiment and gather input on potential game updates. Players are asked about their perception of game length, specifically when a match is considered too long, with options ranging from 30 to 60 minutes or no preferred maximum. Another question addresses the potential revival of specific items, asking which, if any, players would like to see returned to Classic, with "Zz'Rot Portal," "Cloak and Dagger," and "Moonflair Spellblade" as options, alongside an "All 3" and "None" choice.
Further inquiries focus on gameplay mechanics. Players will vote on whether to introduce modern jungle timers to the minimap, similar to those in other modes, or keep the current system. The inclusion of base gates is also a subject of a yes or no vote. Additionally, players will provide feedback on the perceived snowbally nature of current games, with options from "Significantly too snowbally" to "Significantly not snowbally enough." The impact of ward trinkets on Classic gameplay is also being surveyed, with players choosing between liking or disliking them.
Finally, the poll introduces a question regarding new "critters" being added to the river. Players are asked to select the preferred pairing for these creatures, with options including "Turtle, Turtle," "Turtle, Duck," "Duck, Turtle," and "Duck, Duck." These critters are slated to appear one at the top and one at the bottom of the river.
