Footage from the cancelled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link mobile game has surfaced online, more than a year after its development was reportedly ended. The leaked video showcases what appears to be the game's cinematic introduction.

In the clip, a group of astronaut-like characters descend into a dark, water-filled environment before engaging a giant Heartless. The sequence then transitions to the characters using jetpacks and Keyblades in combat against the large foe. The snippet provides a brief, albeit wild, look at the game's intended action.

Little is publicly known about Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, beyond the fact that its development began in 2022. The game was planned as a mobile title that would have bridged the narratives of Kingdom Hearts Union X and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road, exploring the largely mysterious "blank era" of the franchise's timeline. Square Enix canceled the project last year, citing concerns that it would be difficult to provide a satisfactory long-term service to players. Since its cancellation, the company's focus for the series has shifted entirely to Kingdom Hearts 4. This upcoming installment has seen renewed movement recently, including the reveal of a trailer at a Nintendo Direct event in June that showcased new gameplay.
