Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is expanding its roster of villains with the upcoming Mayhem Collection, which will feature Harley Quinn and the Joker. A newly revealed costume for Harley Quinn draws inspiration directly from her appearance in 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum. This particular outfit represents a significant departure from her classic jester attire seen in Batman: The Animated Series and early comic appearances.
In Batman: Arkham Asylum, Harley Quinn adopted a distinctive doctor-themed dominatrix aesthetic. Replacing her traditional spandex onesie, this look featured a repurposed doctor's outfit, a leather corset, a domino mask, and other elements that paid homage to her origins as Dr. Harleen Quinzel. The Lego version of this costume is described as featuring prankster pigtails and a "chaotic" corset.
The Mayhem Collection itself serves as a tribute to Batman: The Animated Series, the '90s show that introduced Harley Quinn as the Joker's sidekick. Developer TT Games has incorporated numerous references to the beloved series, along with Easter eggs from various other Batman media. The expansion also includes a nod to Arleen Sorkin, the late original voice actor for Harley Quinn. Its new story mission will explore the initial encounter between the Joker and Harley Quinn when she was still the ambitious psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel.
The Mayhem Collection is set to launch on September 18 for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
