LEGO is commemorating a quarter-century of its Harry Potter range with the upcoming release of a detailed Ministry of Magic set. This significant addition to the collection will also feature the debut of the first-ever minifigure of the character Arabella Figg.

The expansive 3,491-piece model is scheduled to become available for LEGO Insiders on August 29, with a broader release following on September 1, coinciding with the franchise's annual Back to Hogwarts Day.

The Ministry of Magic set is designed as a three-tiered structure, standing 51cm (20 inches) tall. The surface level depicts the iconic Leaky Cauldron pub and the red telephone box that serves as an entrance to the Ministry's lower levels. The central section showcases the building's multi-story offices and a miniature representation of its golden fountain. The rear of the model reveals features such as Professor Umbridge's office and a Floo network fireplace. Beneath these layers lies the Hall of Prophecy, complete with a magical Veil.

In total, the set includes 14 minifigures. Alongside the new Arabella Figg figure, the collection features Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Sirius Black, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Nymphadora Tonks, Arthur Weasley, Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody, Albus Dumbledore, Lucius Malfoy, Antonin Dolohov, and Professor Umbridge. The set also includes Kingsley Shacklebolt's Lynx Patronus.

The LEGO Harry Potter line first launched in 2021, the same year the initial film premiered. Over the past 25 years, more than 200 LEGO Harry Potter sets have been released, with the largest to date being the 6,020-piece microscale Hogwarts Castle from 2018.

The very first LEGO Harry Potter set was a small Sorting Hat build, which included an early minifigure of Harry Potter. Notably, the Harry Potter range was the first LEGO line to introduce minifigure legs, the short, non-bendable variety now commonly used for child or shorter figures.

The Ministry of Magic set will retail for $449.99 / £389.99 / €429.99. No specific Gift With Purchase promotions have been announced at this time.
