LEGO is officially retiring the Hogwarts Express Book Nook, one of the first builds in its popular book nook series. The set, originally released in June 2025, has been added to the company's 'Retiring Soon' list, signaling a decrease in its general availability.
The Hogwarts Express Book Nook, which recreates Platform 9 and 3/4 and the iconic train, offers dual display options: as a pair of bookends or folded to fit between books on a shelf. The set comprises 832 pieces and includes minifigures of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley from their first year at Hogwarts. Its dimensions, standing 6.5 inches tall, are suitable for most paperbacks and smaller hardcovers, though it may appear diminutive next to larger books like the illustrated Harry Potter series.
While the Hogwarts Express was the inaugural Harry Potter book nook, LEGO has since expanded the range. As of June 2026, the Dumbledore's Office Book Nook became available, offering more pieces and a figure of Albus Dumbledore with LEGO Fawkes.
LEGO recently announced its largest book nook to date, the LEGO Icons Bookstore Book Nook, set for release on October 1. This new set boasts 1,690 pieces, marking a departure from franchise-specific builds and representing the most substantial and expensive entry in the book nook line so far.
