Leaked images of a rumored LEGO PlayStation set have emerged online, offering a detailed look at a recreation of Sony's original console. The set appears to include several intricate Easter eggs referencing classic PlayStation titles.

The first photos of the set were reportedly found in a LEGO store, according to reliable LEGO news source Brick Tap. While an official announcement from LEGO and Sony has yet to be made, speculation suggests details may surface soon, potentially coinciding with Sony's upcoming State of Play broadcast.

The upcoming set is expected to comprise 1,911 pieces and carry a retail price of $160. Early reports also suggest a limited-time Astro Bot gift with purchase may be available.

Images of the main set reveal a buildable PlayStation console and controller. The controller features printed bricks representing the iconic Square, Triangle, Circle, and Cross buttons, and it can be connected to the console. The console itself includes a functional flip-up disc tray. In a notable detail, the sides of the console can be detached to reveal miniature dioramas inspired by the games Ape Escape and Gran Turismo, echoing similar Easter eggs found in other LEGO retro console sets like the Nintendo Entertainment System.

This LEGO PlayStation set would join a growing collection of retro console-themed builds from LEGO, which recently also unveiled updated Super Mario sets featuring the first Nintendo minifigures.
