Liam McIntyre, the actor lending his voice and likeness to Marvel's Wolverine, remains unfazed by player reactions to his performance. Despite some fan criticism regarding his resemblance to the iconic mutant and the game's art direction, McIntyre has taken the comments in stride.

McIntyre acknowledged the discourse surrounding the game on social media, noting that he has encountered far more intense fan reactions throughout his career. He specifically referenced his experience taking over the role of Spartacus from the late Andy Whitfield in the Starz series. "Ha. Man my career started with the responsibility of taking over for the incredible Andy Whitfield in Spartacus (RIP to that legend). I've read things you couldn't believe :)," McIntyre wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He expressed pride in his work on Marvel's Wolverine and hopes players enjoy the game. "I just hope everyone has fun. I'm proud as hell of this game. It's a blast," he added.

McIntyre's transition to Spartacus after Whitfield's passing in 2011 also generated significant fan discussion at the time. This history has evidently prepared him for the current wave of opinions regarding his portrayal of Wolverine, a character most recently embodied by Hugh Jackman on screen.

Marvel's Wolverine has received mixed reviews from critics. IGN awarded the game a six out of ten, describing it as "standard superhero fare" where the "slick and satisfying combat wears thin well before its conclusion."
