Magic: The Gathering's latest expansion, Marvel Super Heroes, has officially launched, and significant discounts are already available on sealed product at Amazon. Play Booster boxes are seeing a 40% reduction, bringing the price down to $125.95 for a box of 30 packs, a notable drop from the $6.99 MSRP per pack.
For newcomers to Magic: The Gathering, the Beginner Box is also discounted to $24.44 from its original $34.99 price. This package includes two tutorial decks, featuring Captain America and Iron Man, with the option to incorporate additional Jumpstart-style mini-decks for varied gameplay.
Collector Booster Boxes have also been restocked at TCGplayer for $444.59, and individual Collector Booster packs are available on Amazon for $44.99. While these are premium items, they represent the standard pricing for collectors seeking rare cards from the set.
Early market analysis indicates strong interest in certain cards, with notable examples including Doctor Doom (Borderless) nearing $150 and Thanos, The Mad Titan (Borderless) reaching approximately $240. The Mind Stone Borderless variant is currently commanding nearly $1,500, with anticipation for even higher prices on the rarer showcase version once it emerges.
