Mario Kart Tour is enhancing its lineup with a significant addition of classic courses from the original Super Nintendo Entertainment System version of the game. This free update, revealed during the September Nintendo Direct presentation, includes iconic tracks such as Choco Island, Ghost Valley, and Mario Circuit. These retro courses will feature familiar elements like question blocks that appear on the track.
A total of 10 classic courses are being introduced to the game. These new additions will be available for players to enjoy in Versus mode. Beyond the classic tracks, Knockout mode is also receiving new content with two additional tours.
This content drop for Mario Kart Tour arrives in the same month that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch received a free upgrade. That update brought enhancements like eight-player split-screen support and various visual improvements to the console version of the game.
