A new trailer for Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine has revealed several preorder bonus costumes and alternate claw designs for the titular hero. Among the cosmetic options, players can equip Logan with a set of serrated adamantium claws, a design that appears particularly brutal.

The trailer showcases these serrated claws in action, implying a visceral combat experience. Beyond the serrated variant, other alternate claw designs include a set with pierced fullers, potentially for weight reduction, and another set that tapers to an arrowhead shape. These options suggest a focus on customization for Wolverine's signature weapon.

In addition to the claw variations, the game will feature a range of costumes for Wolverine. The trailer highlights a practical leather outfit inspired by Grant Morrison's New X-Men run, a modernized take on the Age of Apocalypse look, and the Savage suit designed by artist Adam Kubert. New designs include the Night Hunt suit by Iban Coello, the cover artist for the game's prequel comic, and the Incredible suit, a nod to Wolverine's first appearance in Incredible Hulk #181.

These cosmetic additions suggest Insomniac Games is drawing from various eras of Wolverine's comic history and introducing original designs. If the studio's previous work on the Marvel's Spider-Man series is an indicator, players can anticipate unlocking additional suits throughout the game. Marvel's Wolverine is scheduled for release on September 15. In related merchandise news, a limited-edition PS5 bundle, console covers, and a DualSense controller inspired by the game are also available for preorder.
