Developer Mike Klubnika, known for the indie hit Buckshot Roulette, has released a new party game called Machine Party. Developed alongside GDeavid, the game presents itself as a "masochistic Mario Party" where players compete in brutal minigames where failure can result in death.

Machine Party supports two to four players and forces them into lawless challenges that teeter on the edge of absurdity, drawing comparisons to the Saw franchise in their lethality. One described minigame involves players attempting to avoid being shredded by a roomba equipped with a buzzsaw. Another task requires players to destroy squares on a brutalist Rubik's Cube to match a target shape, with incorrect actions leading to fatal consequences. A third minigame focuses on a race to eat peas as quickly as possible, where the slowest participant faces a gruesome end. The game also features a challenge where players must ascend an escalator moving downwards, with a pit of sawblades at the bottom.

The game's presentation is characterized by its blend of ridiculousness and gore. Machine Party is currently available on Steam. While the game launched without local co-op support, a developer post on Steam indicated that this feature is planned for a late August release, following community requests.
