McDonald's is launching a partnership with Xbox in the UK and Ireland that will provide customers with in-game rewards across six of the console brand's most recognizable gaming franchises. The promotion celebrates Xbox's 25th anniversary and includes titles such as Halo, Fallout, Forza, and World of Warcraft. Customers can unlock digital items through a new initiative called "Side Missions," which will also feature menu items inspired by Xbox gaming.

According to Tim Kenward, SVP, chief marketing officer for McDonald's UK and Ireland, the collaboration aims to bring elements of these virtual worlds into reality. "Gaming is all about imagination and the worlds we love to get lost in," Kenward stated. "What excites me about this partnership is that we're bringing parts of these iconic gaming worlds to life, giving fans the chance to experience food they have only ever seen on screen. As a huge Fallout fan, I'm most excited for the Blamco Cheesy Potato Bites."

The promotion extends beyond Fallout, with rewards planned for other major franchises. Players can look forward to the Master Chief Armour for Halo: Campaign Evolved, a Car Voucher for Forza Horizon 6, and the Sugar Bomb Bundle for Fallout 76. World of Warcraft players will receive the Red Hot Portable Bakery, while Candy Crush Saga will offer a Booster Bundle. Overwatch players can unlock the Kiriko Donut Break Emote.

Further details regarding the promotion's rollout and daily deals are expected to be announced on the McDonald's app. This initiative allows fans to engage with their favorite games through unique food-inspired virtual content, blending the fast-food experience with digital gaming rewards.
