Call of Duty is set to launch its Season 4 Reloaded update, dubbed "Summer of Action," on June 25th. This midseason refresh will bring award-winning actor Nicolas Cage into Black Ops 7 and Warzone as a new operator. Cage, known for his roles in "National Treasure," "Con Air," and "Gone in 60 Seconds," will be available through a new "Nick Cage event." This event features both free and paid reward tracks, with cosmetics themed around the actor. The operator himself is exclusively unlockable via the paid track, which is typically priced at $10.

Beyond the celebrity operator, the update includes new free weapons: the Executioner's Duet melee weapon and the AN-94 assault rifle, a classic from Black Ops 2. The "Nick Cage event" itself will offer various themed cosmetics.

Multiplayer content is also expanding with two new maps and modes. Zenith is a new 6v6 map set in a cliffside manor, while Launch is a remake of the Black Ops 1 map situated at a rocket launch facility, also designed for 6v6 play. A new 6v6 mode called Team Blueprint Sharpshooter will see weapon blueprints rotate every few seconds, with all players receiving the same weapon at once. In this mode, players earn power-ups like faster movement, reload speed, and double score for elimination streaks. Additionally, Knife Fight, a melee-only variant of the Gunfight mode, will be introduced.

The Black Ops Classic playlist, which offers gameplay and movement inspired by older Call of Duty titles by removing advanced omnimovement and certain equipment, is becoming a permanent addition to Black Ops 7 due to its popularity. This playlist will feature remastered maps from previous Black Ops games, with Season 4 Reloaded adding Launch, Fringe, Hacienda, and Gridlock to the rotation.

Zombies mode receives a significant update with the new map Kowakujo, set at Takeo's family castle in Japan. Players will embark on a story quest to battle an army, liberate a figure called the Shadowsmith, and uncover a curse. The map introduces the Oni, an armored enemy type empowered by electricity and wielding melee weapons. The Wonder Weapon for Kowakujo remains undisclosed, with players encouraged to discover it in-game.

The Endgame mode also sees new content with Act 4: Operation King Killer, and the addition of the Guardian skill track, which enhances damage resistance and team support, along with a minor ability called the Psych Grenade.

Warzone's Rebirth Island map will receive a visual overhaul with the snow melting away to reveal a more vibrant setting. New Warzone modes include Squad Gun, a take on Call of Duty's Gun Game mode played on Resurgence maps, where squads race to be the first to cycle through a set of weapons. From July 9 to 13, the Buy Back Quads mode will return, allowing players to redeploy automatically if they have at least $4,000 cash upon elimination.
