Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation scheduled for June 30, which will be dedicated entirely to the upcoming single-player survival adventure, Splatoon Raiders. This showcase will provide an in-depth look at the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
The Splatoon Raiders Direct is set to stream live on June 30, beginning at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT. The presentation is expected to last approximately 15 minutes and promises new gameplay details along with "plenty of sea-life wordplay."
Following the Direct, Nintendo will also offer an extended gameplay demonstration of Splatoon Raiders through a new Nintendo Treehouse: Live broadcast. The game itself was initially revealed last June, shortly after the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. As a follow-up to Splatoon 3, Splatoon Raiders tasks players with treasure hunting across the Spirhalite Islands while engaging in battles against Salmonids, recurring aquatic adversaries from the Splatoon series' Salmon Run modes.
Players will assume the role of a mechanic employed by the Deep Cut trio—Frye, Shiver, and Big Man—and will be responsible for constructing various gadgets and paint-throwing devices. Splatoon Raiders is scheduled for release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23.
In conjunction with the game's launch, Nintendo will also release a new trio of amiibo figures featuring Splatoon Raiders versions of Frye, Shiver, and Big Man. New Joy-Con 2 controllers in a blue and light yellow color scheme will also be available on the same day. Splatoon Raiders will be priced at $49.99 for the digital version and $59.99 for the physical edition, reflecting Nintendo's new pricing structure. Each of the new amiibo figures will retail for $24.99.
