Nintendo has announced its first hardware bundles for the Switch 2 console, set to arrive shortly after a planned price increase in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and mainland Europe. The console's price will rise by $50 in the U.S., reaching $499.99.
Starting in late September, a bundle will include the Switch 2, the launch title Mario Kart World, and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online membership. This package will be priced at $549.99, representing a saving of $37.98 according to Nintendo. Later, on October 22, a second bundle will launch alongside Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. This offering, which includes the console, the game, and a 90-day Nintendo Switch Online subscription, will cost $529.99, providing a saving of $27.98.
Nintendo first announced the price increase in May, citing "market conditions" and the "global business outlook" as reasons for the adjustment. This move follows similar price hikes from other hardware manufacturers like PlayStation, Xbox, and Valve, attributed to global uncertainties in shipping, tariffs, and component costs.
While these new bundles offer some savings, purchasing a console and Mario Kart World before the price increase will yield the greatest financial benefit. Leaked images earlier this month also hinted at a potential The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary edition of the Switch 2 and Pro Controller, though official details and pricing remain unconfirmed.
