Adam Jensen’s voice actor, Elias Toufexis, says there will be no new Deus Ex game this year. In a late-2025 post on X, he described the owners as 'psychopaths' for not concluding the trilogy, a line that drew immediate attention from the fan base.

Speaking to PC Gamer, Toufexis clarified that the remark was hyperbole and not a literal accusation of individuals. He noted that he had previously pitched an animated series featuring Jensen, with himself producing and co-writing alongside a high-profile writer, but the proposal was rejected. Beyond Deus Ex, Toufexis has maintained a busy portfolio, including prominent work as L'ak in Star Trek: Discovery and appearances in games such as The Outer Worlds 2, Hell Is Us, and MindsEye. He is also serving as the voice director on Bungie's Marathon, in which he will appear as Void and Rook.

Marathon’s public-facing updates have grown more positive. A recent second reveal highlighted changes made since its debut in 2025, with the development team emphasizing a strong focus on player input. Toufexis praised the game’s world building, lore, visuals, and acting, and said the team is working hard and staying engaged with the community. Marathon is scheduled to release in March 2026, though a firm date has not been announced, and it is aiming for a $40 price point similar to other contemporary shooters.

Marathon development update

On the Deus Ex front, there is currently no announced project from Eidos Montreal or Embracer Group. Fans remain hopeful for a proper conclusion to Adam Jensen’s story, but relative to other projects in motion, no official plans have been disclosed for 2026. The public-facing takeaway is that Marathon and Toufexis’s broader catalog are occupying prominent space this year, leaving the Deus Ex future uncertain for the near term, with 2027 occasionally floated as a possibility by the community.
