Moon Studios has announced that the full 1.0 launch of its dark fantasy action RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, has been postponed from its previously planned October release to March 2027. Creative director Thomas Mahler stated in a video update that extensive playtesting revealed the game requires further refinement, particularly in the areas of gameplay performance and the class system.

This delay means the game will spend additional time in PC early access, where it launched in April 2024. The development team plans to conduct a final closed beta test in December to gather more player feedback before the expanded development period concludes.

In conjunction with the delay, Moon Studios is extending the deadline for players to claim the in-game Founder's Pack. Early Access players now have until January 1, 2027, to purchase the pack, which offers special in-game items. PlayStation 5 players will be able to obtain the Founder's Pack when console pre-orders commence in January.

No Rest for the Wicked, developed by the studio behind the Ori series, draws inspiration from titles like Diablo and Dark Souls, blending action combat and dungeon crawling with town-building elements. Players are tasked with rescuing an island from a supernatural pestilence. The game supports both single-player and co-op play for up to three additional players within a shared world instance.

The game is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and PC in March 2027. Future releases for Xbox Series X/S and the Nintendo Switch 2 are planned but do not yet have confirmed dates.
