Noah Reid, star of the upcoming series Yaga, has shared insights into his co-star Hudson Williams's performance in the show, suggesting audiences will witness a new dimension to the actor. Speaking with IGN at San Diego Comic-Con, Reid noted Williams's arrival on the project coincided with a peak in the popularity of his previous work, "Heated Rivalry." "When we found out Hudson was joining us on this show, Heated Rivalry fever was in full swing," Reid explained, adding, "The people love Hudson, there's no question."

Showrunner Kat Sandler and Reid both expressed their admiration for Williams, with Sandler stating, "And we love Hudson." Reid agreed, adding a lighthearted, "Yeah, but that goes without saying, doesn't it?"

Reid believes Yaga will serve as a significant showcase for Williams's acting talents. "This show I think will really highlight Hudson's ability as an actor," he said. "He's a great actor and he's a cinephile, and he does his research, and people are going to see a different side of him in this show for sure."

In Yaga, Williams portrays Henry Park, the heir to a commercial fishery who goes missing. Reid plays Rapp, a private investigator tasked with finding him. The series itself is inspired by the Eastern European folktale of Baba Yaga, a witch figure known for her complex morality, appearing in folklore as both a villain and a wise woman. The upcoming series is expected to lean into the horror and darker aspects of the tale, incorporating elements of sex.

Sandler described the series' overall tone as "Propulsive, sexy, funny, dark, and wildly surprising." Reid further hinted at the show's intricate plotting, advising viewers to pay close attention. "There are so many twists and turns along the way; it really does keep you on your toes," he commented. "In a half hour drama, things move very fast. It's jam-packed and if people aren't paying attention, they are gonna miss some stuff."
