Bandai Namco, Shueisha, and Toei Animation have revealed the livestream schedule for One Piece Day '26, an annual event celebrating the manga's debut. The festivities, held at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba City, Japan, will be broadcast online, potentially offering significant news regarding the expansive One Piece franchise.
One Piece Day officially became an anniversary in 2017, commemorating the manga's first appearance in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997. This year, the event will feature two free livestreams available on the official One Piece YouTube channel. The first stream is scheduled for August 21 at 5:15 a.m. EDT, with the second following on August 22 at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
Attendees and viewers can anticipate a range of content, including the latest updates on One Piece franchise projects and a special announcement for the One Piece Card Game. The event will also host a talk session with the Japanese voice actors from the ELBAPH Arc, alongside live performances by artists such as Hiroshi Kitadani, Maki Otsuki, AiNA THE END, and 36km/h.
A key highlight will be the reveal of the final results for the second Global ONE PIECE Character Popularity Poll, "WORLD TOP 100." Rankings from No. 100 to 31 will be announced during the initial stream, with the Top 30 to be unveiled in the second. An interactive prediction campaign, "WORLD TOP 100 The King of Guesses," will also be accessible via the ONE PIECE BASE app.
Last year's One Piece Day saw announcements like the One Piece Heroines anime and a preview of the second season of Netflix's live-action series. Given this precedent, fans are hopeful for further details on other ongoing and announced projects. These include Toei's current anime series, WIT Studio's upcoming remake series, the One Piece: Grand Gourmet management game, and new expansions for the One Piece Card Game.
