Blizzard Entertainment and CD Projekt Red have revealed an upcoming collaboration for Overwatch that will bring elements from the popular anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners into the game. The announcement was made during BlizzCon 2026 as part of the "30 Years of Battle.net" panel. This partnership signifies another expansion of crossover content between the two companies.
While details remain scarce, Blizzard showcased two pieces of concept art confirming that David Martinez and Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will receive Overwatch cosmetics. It has not yet been specified which Overwatch heroes will don these outfits, nor if other Edgerunners characters will be included. The crossover is slated to arrive in Overwatch sometime in 2027. This follows previous anime collaborations for Overwatch, including series like My Hero Academia and Cowboy Bebop.
Beyond the Overwatch collaboration, the panel also detailed other joint ventures. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, along with its "Songs of the Past" expansion, will be released on the Battle.net launcher. Additionally, a cosmetic outfit inspired by Geralt of Rivia will be available in Diablo 4. This Geralt-themed Barbarian costume, featuring armor reminiscent of Kaer Morhen and distinctive swords, will be a pre-order bonus for the "Songs of the Past" expansion.
Developers hinted that more collaborations between Blizzard and CD Projekt Red are planned for 2027. Further information on the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Overwatch crossover is expected to be released closer to its launch.
In other Cyberpunk news, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is scheduled to launch on Battle.net in 2026. Separately, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on October 20. Diablo 4 is currently available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, with a Nintendo Switch 2 release planned for September 15.
