Palworld has officially launched in its 1.0 version after more than two years in early access, and developer Pocketpair has announced that the game's price will remain at $29.99. This decision deviates from the common industry practice of increasing game prices upon full release.

"After much thought, we have decided not to raise the price of Palworld following the 1.0 release and will keep it at $29.99," the developer stated. "We are incredibly proud of how far Palworld has come. Thanks to the amazing support of our players, it has become a success beyond our wildest dreams. As a small way of saying thank you, we'll be keeping the price at $29.99. Thank you for your continued support."

Since its initial early access debut, Palworld has undergone numerous gameplay updates and content additions. The game previously faced scrutiny from Nintendo, leading to legal action over alleged copyright and patent infringement related to the Pokémon franchise. Pocketpair reportedly made adjustments to certain gameplay mechanics, such as gliding, to address these concerns.

Looking ahead, Pocketpair plans to continue supporting Palworld with post-launch content. The studio is also developing an official Palworld-themed trading card game and a spin-off title described as a "cozy" Palworld experience. Before its 1.0 release, Palworld achieved a significant player milestone, with Pocketpair reporting 40 million players.
