Paralives, the upcoming life simulation game, has received a new update that introduces significant changes, including a redesign of the game's babies and a fix for persistent dead bodies.
Previously, the babies in Paralives were described by some players as "unsightly," leading to their redesign to appear more conventionally baby-like. The developers have also adjusted the birth mechanic, with babies now being born directly into a Para's arms instead of on the pavement.
The update also addresses the issue of deceased characters remaining in the game world for extended periods. Dead Paras should now be removed from the streets, preventing the visual clutter of lingering corpses.
Beyond these headline changes, the update introduces several smaller gameplay enhancements. The world of Melino now features street addresses and names for easier lot identification, and townies can optionally appear on the town map. Para lifespans have been increased from an average of 98 days to 112 days. Additionally, new floor textures have been added for home decoration, and a new interaction allows friends with high friendship levels to move in together. Players can also now assign a Para to a specific side of a bed, and initiate romantic interactions directly through beds or characters. The game Dorfromantik has also been added as a playable game for Paras.
These changes reflect the ongoing development of Paralives in early access, allowing player feedback to shape the game's features and presentation.
