Developer S-Game has released a new, 11-minute trailer for its high-speed action game, Phantom Blade Zero. The footage highlights the game's flashy combat, unique enemy designs, and offers new story details. The trailer concludes with the announcement that actor and martial artist Donnie Yen will appear in the game as Mó Yuan, contributing his voice, face model, and motion capture, and also serving as a creative consultant.

The trailer's action sequences are described as intensely designed, drawing comparisons to animated series and the more outlandish moments in the Resident Evil franchise. According to Soulframe Liang, founder and CEO of S-Game, the combat shown, including battling enemies on a speeding wagon and dueling former comrades, represents only the initial stages of the player's journey.

Furthermore, S-Game has announced a special Phantom Blade Zero State of Play livestream. The broadcast is scheduled for Monday, August 17, at 7 p.m. PT/ 10 p.m. ET, which will be August 18 at 10 a.m. CST. This event aims to introduce new characters integral to the game's narrative and demonstrate the variety of player character builds.

Phantom Blade Zero is now available for pre-order. Early pre-orders will grant access to the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit ahead of schedule, though these items can also be unlocked through normal gameplay. The game is slated for release on October 29 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
