The third and final series of the Pokémon First Partner Illustration TCG Collection has launched, making its debut on August 7, 2026. This collection, which celebrates the starter Pokémon from various generations, is now available at the Pokémon Center and other retailers that carry Pokémon TCG products.

This final series includes promo cards featuring the first partner Pokémon from Generation 3 (Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip), Generation 6 (Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie), and Generation 9 (Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly). Each box contains one Pokémon TCG Pack with three of these illustration rare-style promo cards, two Pokémon TCG Booster Packs from the Pitch Black and Chaos Rising sets, and an exclusive sticker sheet.

Series 3 concludes the three-part collection. Series 1 focused on Generations 1, 4, and 7, while Series 2 covered Generations 2, 5, and 8. The release of Series 3 rounds out the collection by featuring the starter Pokémon from the Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea regions.

The suggested retail price for the collection is $14.99 USD (£14.99 in the UK). However, similar to previous series, acquiring these at MSRP may prove challenging due to high demand. Retailers' stock levels have varied, with some selling out quickly. While prices may fluctuate, especially on third-party marketplaces, checking smaller hobby shops in addition to major retailers is recommended.

In the US, the Pokémon Center is a primary source, though restocks are frequent. Target and Best Buy may offer in-store availability. Amazon currently has the collection listed at a higher price but is expected to receive more stock. TCGplayer serves as a third-party option, though prices are subject to market demand, with a significant markup from the original MSRP at the time of reporting.

For UK consumers, Pokémon Center UK offers the collection at base MSRP. Chaos Cards and Smyths Toys are also noted as potential sources. Smyths Toys, in particular, may have more in-store stock on release day even if online pre-orders are limited.

Looking ahead, while this collection is complete, speculation exists regarding a potential fourth series that could tie into future Generation 10 starters, possibly coinciding with the rumored launch of Pokémon Winds and Waves in 2027. However, no official confirmation has been made.

The broader Pokémon TCG landscape in 2026 includes the significant September 16 launch of the Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration expansion, notable for its global simultaneous release, all-foil cards, guaranteed unique Pikachu cards in every pack, and the introduction of a new "Futuristic Rare" tier.
