Players of the recently released Pokémon Pokopia have discovered a method to obtain Pokémon from past in-game events, bypassing the need to alter their console's date and time. Since the game's launch in March 2026, limited-time events have introduced various Pokémon, including the Hoppip evolution line, Sableye, and Jirachi. Currently, Feebas and Milotic are available through the "Fetching Scales for Feebas" event. Previously, if players missed these windows or started playing after an event concluded, acquiring those specific Pokémon legitimately became impossible, with the only alternative being to technically cheat by manipulating the system's clock.

A Reddit user, ArcadiaCitizen_, has detailed a workaround that requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership. The process involves visiting a Pokémon Center computer and purchasing an item called the Mysterious Goggles. Wearing these goggles enables players to visit the "dream island" of another player. While direct interaction with items is not permitted, players can photograph the island's contents. By inputting the code 6DXL PD6F, players are transported to an island curated by the developers, which reportedly contains every item and Pokémon available in Pokopia.

Players can equip the camera using the minus button and then press Y to activate a mode that highlights specific items. Up to 20 different items can be photographed at once. The objective is to photograph the items that form the habitats for any missed Pokémon. Returning to any Pokémon Center's 3D printer allows players to acquire these items, provided they have sufficient Pokémetal and Rare Pokémetal resources. For instance, a player who missed the "More Spores for Hoppip" event could photograph the associated habitat items on the developer's island. After recreating these habitats in Palette Town, the Hoppip evolutions, Skiploom and Jumpluff, reportedly appeared swiftly. This method provides a legitimate way to obtain any missing items and Pokémon, expanding the possibilities for players to complete their Pokédex and collections.
