Adventurers in Pokémon Pokopia can unearth a variety of lost relics, which are then appraised by Professor Tangrowth. These relics come in two sizes, small and large, and serve primarily as decorative items, though some have functional uses.

Relics can be found by using Rock Smash on glowing spots. These excavation sites can yield various items, including fossils, CDs, and dolls, with relics being a common find. Players are advised to search for these shining spots at night, as they are more visible against darker terrain. Sweet foods, such as Pecha Berries, fed to Mosslax can increase the chances of finding artifacts. The Dowsing Machine item, when paired with a Pokémon possessing the Search specialty, can also help locate hidden treasures.

Once a relic is found, it must be appraised by Professor Tangrowth. A recent update allows players to appraise up to 10 relics at once using the PC in Palette Town, streamlining the process. The Bubbly Basin DLC introduced new large lost sunken relics, exclusively found underwater.

Large Relics

Large relics function as furnishing items that can decorate an island. Some are powered by electricity, while others, like the meteor lamp, come in different color variations. Certain large relics are integral to creating habitats for specific Pokémon; for instance, the Pikachu sofa is required to summon Mimikyu. These items can also be acquired through 3D printing from photos, or by purchasing them from the daily shop or PC shop. Some large relics can even be found scattered around the islands. However, relics obtained outside of excavation will not be registered in the "Ancient Artifacts" collection menu.

Small Relics

Small relics differ significantly from their larger counterparts. Instead of furniture, they consist of items from the mainline Pokémon games, which can be displayed in frames. Most are held items that typically offer effects in battle, but they lack any combat utility within Pokopia. While less impactful than large relics, they offer a quirky decorative option, such as framing a Throat Spray in a Pokémon's house.

Unlike large relics, small relics cannot be 3D printed. The list of small relics, in order of appearance in the collection menu, includes: Nugget, Silver Bottle Cap, Gold Bottle Cap, Rare Bone, Heart Scale, Miracle Seed, Hard Stone, Mystic Water, Metal Coat, Twisted Spoon, Silver Powder, Black Glasses, Black Belt, Silk Scarf, Sharp Beak, Poison Barb, Never-Melt Ice, Spell Tag, Charcoal, Soft Sand, Fairy Feather, Dragon Fang, Leftovers, Black Sludge, Lucky Egg, Destiny Knot, Life Orb, Iron Ball, Metal Powder, Big Root, Adrenaline Orb, Weakness Policy, Terrain Extender, Wide Lens, Throat Spray, Light Clay, Loaded Dice, Sticky Barb, Quick Claw, Lagging Tail, Flame Orb, Ability Shield, Room Service, Ring Target, Clear Amulet, and Zoom Lens.
