The Fetching Scales for Feebas event has begun in Pokémon Pokopia, offering players the chance to add the Pokémon Feebas and its evolution, Milotic, to their Pokédex. This event requires players to collect a specific item, Prism Scales, to earn the associated rewards. The event is scheduled to run from August 13th until August 28th, concluding at 4:59 AM local time.
To participate effectively, players will need to establish Feebas' habitat within the game. This habitat is located at The Exciting Beach and requires two items: a Big Swim Ring and a Sand Bed. Both of these items can be purchased using Prism Scales from Feebas' shop, which is accessible within any rebuilt Pokémon Center from the base game while the event is active. A total of 20 Prism Scales are needed to acquire these habitat items for your Habitat Dex.
Prism Scales can be found scattered across the beaches and within the caves of any Dream Island. These items appear as small blue shells with a pink tip. Players may need to undertake multiple collection trips, as a total of 50 Prism Scales are required to unlock both Feebas' and Milotic's habitats. One reported trip yielded 26 Prism Scales from the Pikachu Doll Dream Island.
For players who have purchased the Expansion Pass DLC, the Starmie Doll Dream Island is noted as a more lucrative location for finding Prism Scales. They can be found in larger quantities in the main underwater sections of this island, with additional scales present on the surface areas and within underwater caves.
All items related to the Fetching Scales for Feebas event are available for purchase from Feebas' shop within any rebuilt Pokémon Center. The items and their Prism Scale costs are as follows: Swim Ring (5 Prism Scales), Big Swim Ring (10 Prism Scales), Cooler (10 Prism Scales), Floating Lantern (10 Prism Scales), Sand Bed (10 Prism Scales), and Beach Volleyball Set (15 Prism Scales).
The event is accessible once at least one Pokémon Center has been rebuilt and Dream Island has been unlocked. It is not available in the Bubbly Basin area. Upon the event's commencement, a notification will appear stating, "A Pokémon is the talk of the town." If the player is in Bubbly Basin, this notification will direct them to visit Withered Wasteland. Following this, Feebas can be found outside the Pokémon Center, initiating a dialogue where it requests Prism Shells and subsequently opens its shop.
