A player in Pokopia has found a way to recruit limited-time Pokémon without altering their Nintendo Switch system settings or waiting for specific in-game event dates. This discovery offers a solution to a common point of criticism since the life simulation game's launch.

Utilizing Cloud Islands and 3D Printing

The method, shared by Reddit user ArcadiaCitizen_, involves leveraging existing game mechanics to access Pokémon that are typically only available during set times. The key component is the Mysterious Goggles, an item that grants access to cloud islands. These islands can be created by other players, and some contain nearly every item available in Pokopia, including those associated with event Pokémon.

Once on a suitable cloud island, players can use the 3D printer found in Pokémon Centers. By spending in-game currency like Pokémetal or Rare Pokémetal, players can replicate these essential items. This process allows for the recruitment of Pokémon such as the Jumpluff family, Sableye, and Jirachi outside of their designated event periods. Accessing these cloud islands and their resources requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership. The specific island code ArcadiaCitizen_ utilized is 6DXL PD6F.

Addressing Player Concerns

When Pokopia was released earlier this year, its timed event windows for Pokémon recruitment drew criticism from some players. Many had not yet acquired a Nintendo Switch at the time of the game's launch and were concerned about missing out on unique Pokémon before their windows closed. This newly discovered in-game workaround provides an alternative for players to acquire these Pokémon, regardless of whether the developers intended this specific exploit.
