Mob Entertainment, the developer behind the popular survival horror series Poppy Playtime, has announced its next project: Escape From Playtime. This new title shifts the focus to cooperative gameplay, allowing up to four players to brave the horrors of the Playtime Co. factory together.

Players will step into the roles of the "cute-yet-disturbing Smiling Critters," misfit toys introduced in the original Poppy Playtime. The core objective involves scavenging materials for a mysterious construction project that promises an escape from the factory. This task requires close collaboration among players, who must follow directives from an unseen, ominous voice while evading the factory's most dangerous inhabitants.

To succeed, players will need to solve puzzles, uncover hidden clues, gather essential tools, and utilize environmental features like hiding spots and alternate routes. The game incorporates proximity voice chat, adding a layer of tension where effective communication is vital but a single misplaced whisper can alert enemies and lead to failure.

Fans of the original Poppy Playtime will recognize familiar elements of the factory, but Mob Entertainment has introduced procedurally generated environments that change with each playthrough. This dynamic layout, orchestrated by a "mysterious Voice," ensures that no two escape attempts will be identical.

Escape From Playtime is slated for early access release on Steam. While a specific launch date has not yet been revealed, the developers have indicated it is "coming soon." The game's Steam page is available for players eager to follow its development.
