Rockstar Games included an Easter egg in its recent Grand Theft Auto 6 Extended Look trailer, subtly featuring a landscape from Red Dead Redemption 2. eagle-eyed players and fans of the developer's previous titles were quick to identify the familiar scenery within what appears to be an in-game television commercial.

The brief scene showcases a winding river flowing through lush greenery, bordered by distinct rock formations and populated by animals. This environment was recognized by players as a location from Red Dead Redemption 2. While Rockstar made some minor adjustments to lighting and the animal presence, the core geography of the river, trees, and rocks remains consistent with the western title.

Players have already pinpointed the exact spot. Reddit user DangerousLeo, who claims to have over 730 hours logged in Red Dead Redemption 2, identified the U-bend in the Kamassa River, located northwest of Annesburg and west of Deer Cottage. This discovery highlights the community's deep familiarity with Rockstar's game worlds.

While the inclusion has fueled speculation about a potential Red Dead Redemption 2 remaster, it is more likely that Rockstar Games repurposed existing assets from its previous game. This approach would have been a practical solution for creating the in-game commercial, especially given that the GTA 6 open world is still under active development and subject to change. The studio has a history of referencing its other titles, making this Easter egg a nod to its dedicated fanbase.
