WildArt Games is set to release Fright Train, a new horror title that fuses the third-person gunplay and inventory management reminiscent of the Resident Evil series with the distinctive mascot characters found in Five Nights at Freddy's. This unique combination is being delivered within a roguelite structure, all set aboard a beleaguered train traversing the frozen landscape of Antarctica.
Fright Train is scheduled to launch on PC on September 15. The game centers on Doug Barker, an anthropomorphic dog serving as an agent. Players will need to manage both the immediate threats of monsters within the train cars and the ongoing operational needs of the train itself. The game promises enemies with interconnected behaviors and environments that are packed with interactable objects, encouraging players to utilize their surroundings to survive progressively challenging runs.
The indie developer WildArt Games, known for its 2025 title Caput Mortum, is behind Fright Train. The game is being published by Black Lantern Collective, a newer label that specializes in horror game releases.
Players can look forward to experiencing Fright Train on PC starting September 15. Further details and a trailer are available on the game's Steam page.
