Atari has announced the return of the RollerCoaster Tycoon series with a new installment titled RollerCoaster Tycoon Wonderworks. Developed by Let's Build a Zoo studio Springloaded, the game was revealed during the pre-show for Gamescom Opening Night Live.
Notably, the announcement trailer featured a brief appearance by the notoriously accident-prone mascot Bubsy, suggesting Atari is leveraging its other intellectual properties.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Wonderworks is set to launch initially on Steam as an Early Access title. According to the game's Steam page, Atari plans to keep the game in this early development phase for approximately one year before a full release.
