Elementa Games has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming anime-inspired action role-playing game, Silver Palace, coinciding with the opening of its "Dichotomy" closed beta test. The trailer highlights the game's blend of Victorian fantasy aesthetics, detective work, and mechanics reminiscent of popular titles like Genshin Impact and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Players assume the role of a detective in the sprawling world of Silvernia, tasked with uncovering the city's hidden secrets. This "Dichotomy" beta, available on Windows PC until July 16, follows a previous "Monotype" closed beta held in January. Prospective players can sign up for a chance to participate via the official Silver Palace website. The beta operates without in-game purchases, and all player data will be reset upon its conclusion.
The latest trailer emphasizes the narrative, environments, and diverse gameplay systems. The female protagonist engages in activities ranging from card and chess matches to interrogating suspects and piloting fantastical airborne vehicles. Notably, a massive whale-like airship, akin to that featured in the Netflix series Leviathan, is showcased. The interactions between the protagonist and a character named Red Rose evoke comparisons to animated shorts from Honkai: Star Rail, particularly the dynamic between Acheron and Black Swan. The inclusion of stealth mechanics for investigative purposes suggests Elementa Games is aiming to establish a unique position for Silver Palace within the crowded open-world gacha RPG market.
Alongside the beta announcement, Elementa Games also revealed the male protagonist through a separate trailer. Players granted access to the "Dichotomy" beta will have the opportunity to control this character and explore new areas and systems not present in the earlier beta phase. For those unable to join the current test, Elementa Games plans to offer hands-on demonstrations at various events throughout the year.
