Skate's fourth season is set to host its most significant event to date with the introduction of the X Games. Full Circle, the game's developer, announced that the dynamic location known as The Stadium will be transformed into the venue for the legendary competition. This X Games event will be accessible to all players at no additional cost.

The transformed Stadium will feature iconic X Games locations, including a large competition vert ramp, a street park, and a bowl section. The event is scheduled to run for one month, from July 21 to August 25. Following this period, The Stadium will revert to its previous state or host a new event.

During the X Games event, players can engage in a variety of activities. Ten unique challenges await, with six located within The Stadium and four spread across the surrounding streets. Additionally, there are four sets of limited-time X Games Club Tasks that task players with landing specific tricks inspired by professional skaters from major global cities like Los Angeles, New York, São Paulo, and Tokyo.

Participation in these challenges and achieving high scores will reward players with X Coins. These in-game earnings can be used to purchase exclusive X Games merchandise, such as replica jerseys, shirts, boards, and wheels. This major in-game event arrives several months after Full Circle implemented unspecified layoffs, a move the studio stated was to prepare the free-to-play title for its "next chapter."
