A new mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim introduces a rather unique companion: a fully functional IKEA Kallax shelving unit voiced by Matt Berry. Titled "Kallax Storageborn," the mod adds the iconic furniture piece as an ally that can carry an unlimited number of items, alleviating the common Skyrim problem of inventory management.
The mod is available on Bethesda's Creations site and offers players a new quest to find the parts necessary to assemble the Kallax. This questline includes new items such as the Allenblade, resembling a giant Allen wrench, and the Meatball Helmet. The journey culminates in a boss fight. To initiate the quest, players must first become over-encumbered, prompting the need for a mobile storage solution.
Matt Berry, known for his roles in "The IT Crowd" and "What We Do in the Shadows," provides the voice acting for the Kallax, adding a distinctive comedic element. The mod even features a modified version of Skyrim's opening sequence that incorporates Berry's performance. "Kallax Storageborn" is available for free on both PC and Xbox versions of Skyrim.
