Sony has announced two upcoming PlayStation State of Play broadcasts scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd. The first presentation will begin at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST / 3 p.m. CEST, offering updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party developers. This initial showcase will conclude with an extended look at the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Immediately following the first broadcast, a second presentation titled "State of Play Japan" will commence. Hosted by Japanese voice actor Yuki Kaji, this showcase will focus on games originating from Japan and Asia, promising new gameplay and announcements. Both presentations will be available to stream on PlayStation's official YouTube and Twitch channels. The duration for each showcase has not yet been specified.

The timing of this State of Play follows recent leaks, with insider NateTheHate having previously posted about a September broadcast. Sony has a history of hosting State of Play events in September, although this year's edition falls earlier in the month than in recent years.

While Sony has not explicitly detailed all titles that might be featured, the company has several notable games in development. Among these are Marvel's Wolverine, which is slated for release on September 15th, and other potential projects such as God of War: Laufey, Until Dawn 2, the Ghost of Yotei expansion, and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The broadcasts are also expected to feature a variety of indie and mid-tier game announcements.
